Aspirus shuttering clinics

LAURIUM, MI--   Some Aspirus primary care clinics are closing in order to move staff to hospitals in the event of a surge in COVID-19 patients.

Matt Brewer is Vice President of Clinic Operations and Chief Nursing Officer. He says the closures are temporary and will ensure hospitals are staffed appropriately to care for patients affected by the coronavirus.

Clinics in Bruce Crossing, Crystal Falls and Lake Linden will be closed or begin the process of closing until further notice. Officials say they’ll offer patients visits via phone or video conferencing whenever possible.
