Get rid of old prescription drugs on Drug Take Back Day Saturday

MARQUETTE, MI— Saturday is the second opportunity of the year to dispose of old and unused medications sitting in your medicine cabinet.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day lets residents bring old prescriptions to their local police departments or Michigan State Police posts and have them safely destroyed. It also aims to educate the public about the potential misuse and abuse of prescription drugs.

Take Back Day runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To find a collection site near you, go to www.takebackday.dea.gov.
