TV6 Canathon celebrates 40 years of collecting food

NEGAUNEE, MI— The WLUC-TV6 Canathon begins its 40^th year of feeding a hungry neighbor Monday, November 1.

Since the event began, more than 4.4 million pounds of food has been donated. Canathon director Scott Zerbel says even with all the generosity throughout the years, there continues to be a need for food in the region.

Collections will run through December 3^rd. Food pickup is scheduled from November 29^th through December 3^rd, depending on your location.

Both food and money are being collected to help local residents.
