Pediatric COVID vaccine offered by Marquette County Health Department

MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette County Health Department is now offering vaccines for children between the ages of 5 and 11.

Community clinics offering the Pfizer pediatric vaccine will be held at NMU’s Northern Center ballrooms on Wednesday, November 10th and Friday, November 12th.

Appointments can be made online by following the scheduling link posted at www.mqthealth.org. For questions or help scheduling, please call 906-475-9977.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for their vaccination. If the adult is not a parent, health officials need to see written authorization from the parent at the appointment.

Officials note, unlike last winter, there is ample supply of the vaccine. Many pharmacies and doctor’s offices are COVID-19 vaccine providers, and may be able to offer more variety in appointment times.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
