MARQUETTE, MI— The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has developed eligibility criteria and prescribing requirements for COVID therapies.
Marquette County Health Department Medical Director Dr. Bob Lorinser says the requirements are due to the limited quantity of COVID antivirals and monoclonal antibodies. Marquette County does not have oral antivirals currently available and the mAB antibody supply is scarce.
See the graph below for COVID outpatient therapy eligibility requirements.
Lorinser says please get vaccinated, wear a mask when appropriate, and assume personal responsibility to prevent serious consequences of COVID hospitalization and death.
