IRONWOOD, MI— Aspirus Ironwood Hospital has been recognized among the nation’s 20 highest-ranked critical access hospitals by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The results were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association. Aspirus Ironwood was the only hospital in Michigan that made the list. It’s also the fifth time in ten years the hospital received the recognition.
The determining factors for the top 20 critical access hospitals are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX and its eight indices of performance: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and finance.
