GLRC, Marquette County Cares Coalition hosting Drive Through. Save Lives.

NEGAUNEE, MI— Residents can get free lifesaving supplies from Great Lakes Recovery Centers on International Overdose Awareness Day Wednesday.

In partnership with the Marquette County Cares Coalition, GLRC is offering items like Narcan, prescription drug disposal kits, safety gun locks, fentanyl testing strips, and medication lock boxes.

“Drive Through. Save Lives” takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the new GLRC Teal Lake Facility at 100 Malton Road in Negaunee.

Health Educators will be on site to answer questions, provide educational materials, and ensure access to additional community resources.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
