Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson has permanent president

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI— Amanda Shelast has been named president of Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson.

Shelast served as interim president after former president Chuck Nelson moved on to become chief business and strategy officer for Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Shelast earned both Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees from Central Michigan University and is the president of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics. She is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
