Aspirus hospitals honored for sustainability

WAUSAU, WI— Five Aspirus Health hospitals have been recognized for their innovation in health care sustainability.

The Environmental Excellence Awards were given by Practice Greenhealth, an organization dedicated to environmental sustainability in health care.

Aspirus Iron River and Wausau hospitals received the Partner for Change Award. It recognizes superior performance in environmental sustainability, covering a range of different sustainability programs and activities.

And Aspirus Ironwood, Keweenaw, and Riverview Hospitals were given the Partner Recognition Award. It honors facilities that have a commitment to environmental improvements and have achieved progress in several areas of the organization.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
