ATLANTIC MINE, MI— A “boil water” advisory has been issued for the town of Atlantic Mine.
A water main break on Monday led to a drop in pressure in the Adams Township water supply. Officials say bacterial contamination could have occurred.
They’re working to get pressure restored and are taking samples from around the system. They’ll be analyzed until water quality meets state drinking water standards.
Residents are urged to boil their water or use bottled water until further notice. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food.
