GREEN BAY, WI (WPR)— Two Wisconsin-based health systems that merged in 2022 announced a new name for their organization Tuesday.
Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, which initially kept their respective names, will transition toward operating as Emplify Health. The name is a combination of “amplify” and “empathy.”
Bellin, based in Green Bay, and Gundersen, based in La Crosse, operate 11 hospitals across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan, with roughly 15,000 employees.
Officials say the name change could take several years. Patients will continue to see their regular providers at the same locations.
