SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— Nurses at MyMichigan Medical Center Sault have reached a tentative contract agreement with hospital administration.
The agreement was reached late Wednesday following months of negotiations. It’s not final until ratified by a vote of the members of the Michigan Nurses Association union. That’s scheduled for Tuesday of next week.
The agreement averts a possible second strike, which the union authorized last week. The first, five-day strike was held in April.
About 120 nurses work at MyMichigan Medical Center Sault. Their contract expired on December 31, 2023.
