UPPER PENINSULA, MI— Randomly selected households across the Upper Peninsula will receive health surveys in the mail, starting this week.
They’re part of a community health needs assessment sponsored by regional healthcare partners, including local health departments, hospitals, and health foundations.
Kate Beer is Health Officer of the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department. She says the survey will allow officials to learn about community needs and help them plan for needed services and funding to meet health challenges in the region.
Survey responses will be anonymous. Findings will only be published for entire counties, not for individuals.
Participants can fill out the paper survey and return it by mail or complete the survey online.
