LAURIUM, MI— Aspirus Health is set to begin an expansion of Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium next month.
The $31.1 million project includes a 28,000-square-foot expansion, the relocation of all services currently in the 1920s-era building to the new addition, a redesign of inpatient rooms, and centrally located imaging, lab, and pharmacy services.
Onsite work is scheduled to begin in June, with an estimated completion date of March 2027.
