New registration point helps UPHS-Marquette patients cut down on walking

MARQUETTE, MI— UPHS-Marquette has opened a second registration area in an effort to reduce walking distances for some patients.

The new East Registration area is near the hospital’s main entrance. It accommodates those who need imaging, laboratory, X-ray, EKG, diabetes, and nutrition services.

The Main Registration area, near the hospital parking garage, will continue to accommodate surgery and procedures, cardiac services, the pain clinic, and sleep medicine services.

Hospital officials say the new registration space was created in response to feedback from patients and families who found it challenging to navigate appointments at the hospital. With two registration locations now available, visitors can more easily access the services they need and choose the most convenient parking for their visit.
