ESCANABA, MI— OSF St. Francis Hospital still accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield for insurance.
A letter dated July 11 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois falsely stated that OSF St. Francis and Medical Group left the BCBS network effective April 16, 2024.
Hospital officials say that is incorrect and the letter was sent out in error.
They say the hospital and Medical Group are still part of the Blue Cross network and patients can continue seeing their OSF providers with no interruption.
Patients are asked to disregard the letter.
