MARQUETTE, MI— Michigan State Police posts are among a number of agencies that will collect and dispose of unwanted medications on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., posts will take in old, expired, and unused prescription pills so they can be safely destroyed. Col. James Grady, director of the MSP, says getting rid of such medication helps prevent misuse, protects the environment, and keeps communities safe.
Liquids, inhalers, patches and syringes will not be accepted.
