MARQUETTE, MI— The Hiawatha Music Festival will be held as scheduled at Tourist Park in Marquette this weekend.
In a Facebook post, the Hiawatha Music Co-op says right now, the festival teams are continuing to prepare for scheduled activities while outlining plans for responding to changes due to wildfires.
Officials continue to talk with team leaders and review feedback from public health professionals and other advisors and will continue to monitor activities. They say they’ve also spoken with musicians who have indicated they are committed to performing.
Monitoring and updates will continue to be provided on Facebook at 12 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Friday prior to scheduled music at 7 p.m.
