Tilden Township water once again safe to drink

TILDEN TOWNSHIP, MI— The boil water advisory for Tilden Township has been lifted.

The advisory was issued Tuesday morning after repairs to the township’s booster station caused a drop in pressure in the water supply. Officials added chlorine to the water as a precaution and conducted bacterial testing.

Residents were told to boil their water for a minute before using it, or drink bottled water.

More than two days later, tests revealed the water is safe to drink. The boil advisory was lifted Thursday just before 2 p.m.
