MSP seeking food donations for charity

MANISTIQUE, MI— Michigan State Police from the Manistique Outpost are asking residents to “Stuff a Blue Goose.”

In a nod to a trooper’s patrol car, or “blue goose,” police are asking people to fill it with donations of food and funds to help local charity.

The event will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Jack’s Fresh Market in Manistique. Good Neighbor Services will assist with the event and help distribute donated items to those in need in the local community.

Officials say the “Stuff a Blue Goose” event last year was a huge success, and troopers at the outpost are hoping this year is just as successful.
