LANSING, MI— Hunters can help out families in need this season by donating a deer to Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger.
The group is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that connects donors, wild game processors, and charities like food banks, pantries, and shelters to help feed those in need. MSAH distributed more than 100,000 pounds of venison last year, providing more than 400,000 meals.
To help cover the cost of processing the deer, individuals can make a monetary donation when purchasing hunting and fishing licenses from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
