Keweenaw Health Foundation director retires

HANCOCK, MI— Ed Jenich has stepped down as Executive Director of the Keweenaw Health Foundation.

Jenich has become Vice President of the Board of Directors, a position he held before taking on the Executive Director role in 2014. Officials say throughout his tenure, he spearheaded numerous projects and initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering community wellness.

Jenich’s daughter, Jenn Jenich-Laplander, has taken over the top spot at the Foundation. She started her tenure effective January 1st of this year.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
