'Tis the season to volunteer with the United Way

MARQUETTE, MI— The United Way of Marquette County is calling on residents to think about volunteering this holiday season.

Officials say there are countless ways to make a positive impact. They include helping to prepare and distribute meals at the Marquette Warming Center, adopting a family in need, and making holiday cards for seniors and the homeless.

Volunteers are needed now through the end of December, and all levels of commitment are welcome.

Interested individuals can learn about opportunities and sign up by going to www.YoopersUnited.com and selecting Holiday Needs.
