MSP gathers Purses with a Purpose

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI— The Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post is collecting purses for survivors of sexual assault.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Troopers will gather new or gently used purses or totes filled with comfort items to benefit Caring House in Iron Mountain.

Suggested items include toiletries, hand sanitizer, socks, blankets, and kids comfort items.

Donations will be accepted through April 30^th. They can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iron Mountain Post, 1916 North Stephenson Avenue.
