Warming centers, overnight shelters set up by local governments after blizzard

MARQUETTE, MI— The following warming centers have been opened for those affected by blizzard power outages. The Marquette County Sheriff's Office says they're places where you can warm up and charge your technology.

They include:

Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front Street
Marquette City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Avenue
Sands Township Complex, 987 S. M-553 — 9-5 Tuesday, 10-3 Wednesday
Skandia Township Hall, 224 Krieger Drive
KBIC Casino in Harvey, 105 Acre Trail

The American Red Cross has established two overnight shelters:

Chocolay Township Fire Hall— No pets, please bring linens and medications, limited showers available, please bring towel and toiletries
Marquette City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Avenue— No pets
