Some Feeding America West Michigan food pantries canceled due to cold weather

MARQUETTE, MI— Extremely cold temperatures have forced the cancelation of three Upper Peninsula Mobile Food Pantries Wednesday and Thursday.

Feeding America West Michigan has canceled events scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Escanaba Salvation Army, noon Wednesday at the Berry Events Center in Marquette, and noon Thursday at Building 604 at Sawyer.

The mobile food pantry scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunlap Center in Newberry will still take place.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
