Upper Peninsula Warming Centers, other resources available during power outages

MARQUETTE, MI— From the Michigan State Police Eighth District Headquarters:

As clean-up and power restoration efforts continue across the Upper Peninsula following the weekend’s winter storm, several counties are still experiencing significant power outages. Below are the current estimated number of outages for areas most affected (as of the afternoon of 3/31/2025):

 Chippewa County: 1,021 customers without power

 Mackinac County: 6,647 customers without power

 Schoolcraft County: 152 customers without power

 Delta: 92 customers without power

 Dickinson County: 6,055 customers without power

 Iron County: 209 customers without power

 Menominee County: 3,918 customers without power

Restoration times may be lengthy due to the extensive damage caused by the storm. If you are without power, please plan accordingly and take the necessary precautions to stay warm and safe. For those in need of warmth or shelter, several warming centers are available in multiple locations throughout the U.P. Please refer to the list below for more details on where to find assistance.
