Gwinn residents invited to meeting about road construction project

GWINN, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting to discuss a project to rebuild a portion of M-35 in Forsyth Township.

About $4.4 million will go into reconstruction of 0.66 miles of road from Smith Street to the east branch of the Escanaba River in Gwinn.

Work is expected to begin in May and be completed in October. During the project, traffic will be maintained using lane closures under traffic regulators and directional detours.

The public meeting will be held Tuesday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Gwinn Clubhouse.
