Houghton County road work to cause travel delays

road work

HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI— A bridge replacement project along a Houghton County road is expected to delay motorists over an eight-week construction period.

Work on the Donken-Tapiola Road is slated for June 6. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will install an arched culvert over the Misery River, south of Donken and just east of M-26.

It won’t block access to any private property, as there’s alternative access.

The latest information on DNR facility and other closures is at www.michigan.gov/DNRclosures.
