MDOT fixing US-2 in Western UP

GOGEBIC COUNTY, MI— Two road projects begin in Gogebic County this week.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is spending $1.8 million to resurface 3.3 miles of US-2 from Bessemer to Ironwood. Work begins Monday, June 26^th, and is estimated to last through August 4^th.

Another $1.4 million will be spent to resurface 5.2 miles of US-2 from Wakefield east. That project is slated to start Wednesday, June 28^th, and be finished by the end of August.
