MUNISING, MI— A trail at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will be closed over the next several days.
The Munising Falls Trail and the east end of the parking lot will be closed until November 22nd. Maintenance crews will be working on the removal and placement of a new cement walkway near the Munising Falls Visitor Center and bathroom facility.
The temporary closure will also include a small section of the North Country National Scenic Trail, which will be rerouted approximately 100 yards along Sand Point Road.
The temporary closure will prevent visitors from hiking through the construction zone. The west end of the parking lot and picnic area will remain open for visitor use.
