Kingsford project subject of MDOT meeting

KINGSFORD, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation and City of Kingsford are holding a meeting to discuss an upcoming road project.

MDOT is spending $2.2 million to rebuild Carpenter Avenue from Hamilton to Woodward Avenues. Work is expected to begin this spring and finish in August.

Officials will hold a brief presentation, following by a question-and-answer session.

The meeting takes place Monday, April 22nd at 5:30 p.m. at Kingsford City Hall.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
