Hiawatha Forest road closure starts next week

GLADSTONE, MI— A portion of road in the Hiawatha National Forest will be closed for bridge replacement this summer.

FSR-3458—known as Burma North—will be temporarily closed from May 28^th to August 20^th. The Carp River Bridge, about 20 miles northwest of Saint Ignace, will be replaced, making the road impassable.

A section of the road about a mile in length will be closed between FSR-3332 to the north and FSR-3479 to the south for the duration of the project.

The public is asked to find alternate routes while traveling in the area.
