M-26 work starts June 17

HOUGHTON, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation will repair about two miles of M-26 in Houghton starting Monday.

The work includes concrete pavement repair and joint repair from Green Acres Road to Shelden Avenue. Drivers should expect single-lane closures. Some night work may be required at the M-26 intersections with Green Acres Road, Razorback Drive, and Sharon Avenue.

The estimated end date of the project is August 23.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
