MARQUETTE, MI— Electrical work will cause a Marquette traffic light to go dark Tuesday evening.

The Marquette Board of Light and Power needs to perform work at the US-41/Washington Street intersection near the Holiday Inn. A power outage at the site is planned to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will last up to two hours.

Law enforcement personnel are expected to be directing traffic at the intersection. In the absence of uniformed police officers directing traffic at a dark signal, the public is reminded to treat it as an all-way stop.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
