Ontonagon County road work slated for Monday

ONTONAGON COUNTY, MI— Work is set to start Monday on a stretch of M-26 in Ontonagon County.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing about $6.5 million to resurface about 5.5 miles of M-26 from US-45 to the M-38 west junction.

One lane of alternating traffic will be open on M-26 using traffic regulators. Temporary traffic signals will be in place during some of the drainage work.

The project is expected to be completed by October 3.
