SHINGLETON, MI— Work to rebuild an Alger County bridge is slated to start June 16.
Crews with the Michigan Department of Transportation will replace the M-28 bridge over Prairie Creek. Work includes deck replacement, concrete curb and gutter, bridge approach, guardrail work, and pavement markings.
M-28 will be reduced to one lane via a temporary concrete barrier wall. One lane of alternating traffic will be open at all times using temporary traffic signals.
The project is expected to be completed by September 19.
