M-77 resurfacing project starts Monday

SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation starts some road work in Schoolcraft County Monday.

About $2.8 million is being invested to mill and resurface nearly 10.5 miles of M-77 from US-2 to Pine Street in Germfask.

Work includes asphalt cold milling, resurfacing, concrete sidewalk ramps, rumble strips, guardrail and pavement markings.

One lane of alternating traffic will be open on M-77 using traffic regulators.

The project is expected to be completed by October 31.
