MDOT to hold meeting on 2026 road project

RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting next week about a planned culvert project in Marquette County.

In 2026, MDOT will build a box culvert on M-35 over Warner Creek north of Palmer. Traffic will be detoured during construction.

The meeting will be held Thursday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Richmond Township Hall. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
