HOUGHTON/HANCOCK, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation is delaying work on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge this week.
Inspections were supposed to take place Monday through Friday, but they’ve been postponed. No reason has been given.
MDOT says a revised schedule for the inspections will be released at a later date. No lane closures or lift restrictions will be put in place until the inspections are rescheduled.
