New roundabout to be included in M-35 road work in Marquette County

MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI— Work on M-35 in Marquette County is set to start later this month.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will rebuild more than three miles of the road between County Road 480 and US-41 and will convert the M-35/County Road 492 intersection into a roundabout.

Tree clearing for the $6.2 million project is expected to start on Monday, April 27, with road work beginning on May 4.

The project is expected to be complete by mid-October.
