AuTRAIN, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation wants input on a planned project on M-28 in AuTrain.
Next year, M-DOT wants to widen the existing roadway at AuTrain Forest Lake Road to add a center left-turn lane at the intersection. To allow for grading and upgrades to the signal, the department is proposing to obtain a 0.012-acre permanent fee right of way on each of the southwest and southeast corners of the intersection.
During the work, one lane will be maintained for vehicular traffic, and the off-road vehicle trail will remain open.
Public input is being sought to help recognize and address any concerns that may result from any impacts of the purchase of right of way on the adjacent recreational properties. Comments will be received through May 31.
