SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— Traffic at the International Bridge at Sault Ste. Marie will be a bit slower this summer, as maintenance work takes place.
Bridge deck resurfacing and painting of the lower U.S. arch steel will close a portion of one lane on the south side of the U.S. arch and U.S. bridge approach. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained using temporary traffic signals.
The lane closure will be in place from Monday through Thursday each week. All lanes will be open Friday through Sunday.
Maintenance work is expected to be completed by the end of August.
