ALGER AND KEWEENAW COUNTIES, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation says some roadside parks in Alger and Keweenaw counties will temporarily close for toilet upgrades.
Seven facilities will be closed from July 27 through August 20.
In Alger County, that includes the Au Train Beach, Deer Lake, and Grand Island roadside parks—all on M-28. In Keweenaw County, it includes the Snow Gauge Roadside Park on US-41 and the Great Sand Bay, Esry, and Hebard roadside parks—all on M-26.
Officials say some parks may reopen before August 20, if weather conditions are favorable.
