Road repaving and culvert work to start in Marquette County within the next two weeks

MARQUETTE, MI— Two road projects are slated to begin in Marquette County later this month.

The resurfacing of a portion of US-41 is scheduled to start August 20. The Michigan Department of Transportation will repave about 3.5 miles of the highway from the Alger County line to County Road 456. The $900,000 project is expected to be completed by October 30.

And MDOT will replace two culverts on M-35 south of Palmer starting
August 24. The estimated end date of the $123,000 project is September 4.
