LANSING, MI— Orange barrels will be moved back on most Michigan roads to ease traffic delays this Labor Day holiday weekend.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is removing lane restrictions on nearly 60 percent of its road and bridge projects starting at 3 p.m. Friday and lasting through 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
While drivers will see suspended operations in most state road work zones for the weekend, drivers are advised that equipment and certain traffic configurations may remain in place, like temporary shifts or shoulder closures.
And a reminder that the Mackinac Bridge will be closed Monday from 6:30 a.m. until noon for the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk.
