MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI— Drivers should expect lane closures on US-41 near the M-35 intersection east of Negaunee starting Tuesday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is rebuilding more than three miles of M-35 in Marquette County between County Road 480 and US-41 and converting the M-35/County Road-492 intersection to a modern roundabout.
To accommodate the work, eastbound US-41 will have one lane closed near the M-35 intersection; the westbound US-41 direct turn onto southbound M-35 will be closed and traffic will be routed to the next crossover to the west to turn south onto M-35; and one alternating lane of traffic will be open on M-35 under flag control.
The lane restrictions are expected to be in place until late October.
