SCHOOLCRAFT AND CHIPPEWA COUNTIES, MI— Two road projects are slated to start in the Upper Peninsula within the next week.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says on Friday crews will start making pavement repairs to a short segment of M-77 in Schoolcraft County. The stretch is north of County Road 451 between Seney and Grand Marais.
Work is expected to be completed by October 23.
And starting October 16, crews will remove and replace a culvert on M-80 between South Gaines Highway and M-129 in Chippewa County. M-80 will be closed and traffic will follow a posted detour, which is expected to be lifted on October 19.
