Pigs getting ready to battle Heat in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Zambonis are being readied for the 34th annual Pigs-n-Heat hockey game in Marquette next week.

The game pits local firefighters against law enforcement officers to raise funds for fire victims in Marquette County. To date nearly $375,000 has been given to displaced families for immediate expenses and a few days’ stay in a local hotel.

This year’s game will be played Wednesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. at Lakeview Arena.  The event will include Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year awards, a performance by Superior Pipes and Drums, and other activities.
