LANSING, MI-- Preliminary figures show ten people died in Michigan traffic accidents over the Thanksgiving holiday period.
Michigan State Police say that’s the same number that lost their lives during the same time last year.
From 12:01 a.m. Wednesday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday State Police implemented Operation C.A.R.E.—a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing traffic crashes and fatalities.
Troopers continue to urge motorists not to drive while impaired, use proper restraints, and make responsible driving decisions.
